A community member donated a series of pictures they took of the Khalsa flag when it was positioned near other flags. In “Liberation flags,” the images show the LGBTQIA+ rainbow flag and Nishaan Sahib (the Sikh Khalsa flag). Though they were not on the same property, Nishaan Sahib was on the property of the Sikh Gurdwara Sahib SF (2400 Rosewood Drive) and the rainbow flag was on the neighboring property. The community member shared this with the Project with the hope that one day they may be next to each other intentionally rather than by accident. In “Sikh Palestine flags,” the images show Sikhs who joined Palestine solidarity protests in Canada in 2024. One set of images are from a marching protest while the other image is from the encampment on University of British Columbia’s campus.
